How can I watch my home surveillance camera from my notebook computer while I'm away?

I have a home surveillance camera and want to be able to view it from my HP laptop computer while away from the house. What are my options?

    <div class="content">You can do this only if you have installed a digital camera that is compatible with computer. A very simple method which does not require you any further cost. make two yahoo IDs, say id1 and id2. Attach your camera to your home computer which is connected to the Internet. Log on to yahoo messenger with the ID1. Configure it to allow all to view web cam.



    Now on your laptop, log on to yahoo messenger with ID2. Add in contacts ID1 and then view ID1's web cam.
